VTSSAR Meetings Schedule for Year 2023

 

The Board of Managers' meeting locations and times are as posted below.
All meals are á la carte, with Members paying for their own meals. All Compatriots are welcome,

VTSSAR Board of Managers Meetings

 

August 16, 2023: The Commemoration of the Battle of Bennington.


This event will take place at the actual battle site in NY, 5231 NY Route 67, Walloomsac, NY - about six miles from Battle Monument. (Meeting time to be determined)


August 24, 2023: Annual VTSSAR picnic.


This will be held at the Mount Independence State Historic site in Orwell, VT on Mount Independence Rd, Orwell, VT 05760. This site opens at 10:00am and there is an $ 8.00 entrance fee. However the site is free for those who have a Green Mountain Passport. The passport can be purchased from any town of city clerk for $ 2.00 if you are over the age of 62 and is good for your lifetime. If you do not have a passport the site manager has told me that if you mention you are with the SAR group you will receive a discount. Please bring your own food and drink and chairs. This is not an official SAR event so casual dress is the theme for the day.


September 15, 2023: Board of Managers Meeting.

We will meet at the DAR Chapter House in Cornwall, VT
Lunch will be provided by the DAR ladies. Cost is $15.00 per meal.
Kindly RSVP by September 7, 2023.


November 16, 2023: Board of Managers Meeting.

The meeting will be held at Rosie’s Restaurant in Middlebury, VT.
